Little Explorers Staff

Frank and Lori Lorenz

The owners of Little Explorers Preschool are residents of Fishers. Lori, the on site owner and director, has over 13 years experience in the preschool field. Lori strongly believes that having been a teacher and a director allows her to know what a successful preschool needs both academically and operationally. The Lorenz’s have two children in the Hamilton Southeastern School System, and have experienced first hand what an advantage it is for a child to have a strong social and academic base prior to starting kindergarten.

As an educator, Lori believes in “academic play” where children are free to have fun and do what they enjoy; but also encouraged to use organized thought processes and look for lots of different solutions and outcomes.

Little Explorers is the fruition of years of dreaming and planning. The owners and staff of Little Explorers can’t wait for you to come join our adventure, and see just where this safari wil lead your child!

Ms. Sally Lamping

Ms. Sally comes to us with over 30 years of teaching experience, much of which was spent in a general classroom! Having been everything from tutor, to art teacher, to Preschool Director; Ms. Sally has worked with nearly every age group at every level of education. Sally’s degrees are in Education and Child Development. Stating her philosophy on the education of young children, Sally emphasizes that “learning is way of life, not just a period of life“ and children should be “active participants in their learning.” Sally is caring, patient, and excited about teaching and learning. Her goals for our students are to build a sense of purpose and self confidence, allowing them to achieve success; and to learn to value and respect themselves and each other as individuals.

Ms. Sally is married to Rick. They live in Fishers, and are the parents of five grown children, four boys and a girl. Sally and Rick are also the very proud grandparents of seven grandchildren, who bring a little extra sunshine into their lives daily!

Ms. Jen Robinson

Ms. Jen joins Little Explorers as our teacher in the threes and young fours classroom.  After teaching in our PreK program last year, Jen and her family relocated to Joplin, Missouri to assist with tornado relief.  When she returned to Indiana in January, we were eager to welcome her back into the LEP family!

Jen’s experience includes ten years of classroom teaching, including both typical and special needs classrooms, where her primary focuses were kindergarten and first grade.  Jen prefers teaching young children, because she feels their energy and curiousity is contagious and fun!

Jen lives in Fishers with her husband, Erik, and their two children Nate and Kenzie.

Ms. Cora Neyhart

Ms. Cora joins Little Explorers as our PreKindergarten teacher.  She is in her second year as a member of our staff, where she has acted as a summer camp teacher, permanent substitute teacher, three year old teacher, and summer camp director.  Cora received her teaching degree from Johnson Bible College, and we immediately offered her a full time position as a part of our team!

Cora’s classroom is a fun-filled environment where children learn through the use of reading, games, and LOTS of art!  Cora’s creative brain is constantly in motion, and her brightly colored ideas can be seen throughout the hallways of Little Explorers!  Her smile is contagious, and children entering the school often run to Ms. Cora for daily hugs and giggles before heading off to class!

Cora relocated to Fishers after graduating from college in Tennessee.  She enjoys golf and researching new ideas for teaching!  She can often be found babysitting in her spare time…and if you’re interested, she often needs to be booked several weeks in advance!

Ms. Tabby McLain

Ms. Tabby joins the Little Explorers team as an assistant teacher and afternoon closer.  She is a member of the Indiana Bar Association, but has a passion for working with children.  She has also worked in an enrichment program for polar bears, using her degree in neuroscience.

Tabby and her husband Jon have a son, Ted, andwelcomed baby TJ to their family in November.

Ms. Amanda White

Ms. Amanda is a teaching assistant and afternoon closer at Little Explorers.  She has her teaching degree from Johnson Bible College, and had classroom experience as a substitute teacher in the public school system prior to coming to Little Explorers.

Ms. Caryn Allen

Ms. Caryn is our amazingly talented food service staff!  She has her own catering company, but treats us to her phenomenal cooking skills during the week, where she makes all of our lunches from scratch!  Caryn has completely overhauled the menu at Little Explorers, introducing the children to new foods and extracting unhealthy foods and additives from their daily diet.  We are so fortunate to have Ms. Caryn as a part of our team, looking our for the well being of our children’s dietary needs!!
