Ms. Carly joins Little Explorers as our teacher in the 3s and young 4s classroom. Her passion in life is working with children. To teach children and families is Carly’s goal, and she does this through structured and interactive activities. She offers patience, a sense of humor, and an overall professional attitude. Carly has her Child Development Associate Degree from Ivy Tech Community College and has lots of experience in early childhood education! Beginning her career as a preschool teacher for the Area Five agency in 2002; Carly has since worked in licensed preschool facilities, serving not only as a lead teacher, but also as a curriculum director.
Carly is married to her high school sweetheart, Chris. They live in Noblesville with their “babies”, three cats named Lola, Luna, and Winston.
We are excited to have Ms. Carly as a part of our teaching team at Little Explorers. Her kind words and love of teaching will bring success to the students who have the privilege of being in her classroom!
Ms. Sally comes to us with over 30 years of teaching experience! Having been everything from tutor, to art teacher, to Preschool Director; Ms. Sally has worked with nearly every age group at every level of education. Sally's degrees are in Education and Child Development. Stating her philosophy on the education of young children, Sally emphasizes that “learning is way of life, not just a period of life“ and children should be “active participants in their learning.” Sally is caring, patient, and excited about teaching and learning. Her goals for our students are to build a sense of purpose and self confidence, allowing them to achieve success; and to learn to value and respect themselves and each other as individuals.
Ms. Sally is married to Rick. They live in Fishers, and are the parents of five grown children, four boys and a girl. Sally and Rick are also the very proud grandparents of seven grandchildren, who bring a little extra sunshine into their lives daily!
We are thrilled to have Ms. Sally on our staff, and excited for you to see what she brings to the classroom!
Ms. Nicole joins Little Explorers as our cook for the 2009-10 school year. Nicole comes to us with past experience working in a school cafeteria. Nicole is mom to two young ladies, Alyson, 10 and Joslyn, 2, who keep her busy when she’s not helping us out at Little Explorers! We are so excited to have Nicole as a part of our Little Explorers team!
Ms. Mindi joins us this year as our Pre-K teacher. We are thrilled to welcome Mindi back to teaching after a five year hiatus as a stay-at-home mommy. Mindi and her husband, Jeff, are the proud parents of Molly, 5; Matthew, 3; and Joshua, 1. They are also expecting another little girl in December of this year.
Mindi comes to us with many years of teaching experience. Mindi is truly a child-centered teacher. A visit to her classroom is a real joy. Students are active and happy. Mindi strives to create a caring classroom environment in which children learn to value and respect themselves and each other as individuals. The children have a sense of purpose and an air of self confidence that they can achieve success in Mindi’s classroom!
Ms. Tori joins the Little Explorers team as our afternoon teacher in the Green Room. Tori’s goal is to ensure that after a busy morning of preschool, our full day students enjoy a relaxing and social lunchtime, a quiet rest time, and an afternoon filled with engaging activities. Her laid back personality gives the children a sense of security and creates a relaxed atmosphere where they are free to explore and learn. Tori’s past experiences in preschool include working in a childcare center for many years, volunteering as a camp counselor, and teaching Sunday School.
Tori also takes on the role of Mom to her two sons, Wesley, age 5, and Mason, age 2. She and her husband Cameron relocated to Indiana from Connecticut in 2008. Having been raised in the Indianapolis area, it was a return home for Cam, and a new adventure for Tori.
We are so pleased that Tori has chosen to return to her passion of working with children and join us at Little Explorers!
